    Location: Fremont, CA (Onsite)
    Shift: 2nd Shift (Sun–Wed)

    • Sun–Tues: 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM
    • Wed: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
      Hours: 38 hours/week
      Duration: 4-Month Contract

    Job Overview

    Sigma Inc. is hiring a Manufacturing Technician to support downstream biopharmaceutical manufacturing operations in a cGMP-regulated environment. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for candidates interested in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or manufacturing careers.

    You will perform hands-on production tasks, support equipment preparation, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards in a fast-paced, team-oriented facility.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Execute basic downstream manufacturing operations for bulk drug substance production
    • Perform weighing, dispensing, parts cleaning, and equipment setup
    • Support kit assembly, staging, and material handling
    • Assist with CIP (Clean-In-Place) and SIP (Sterilize-In-Place) processes (with supervision)
    • Prepare and transfer buffers and solutions
    • Maintain and clean manufacturing and analytical equipment
    • Stock materials, manage consumables, and discard expired reagents
    • Update and maintain controlled SOP documentation
    • Identify and report process deviations or equipment issues
    • Follow cGMP, cGDP, and safety compliance standards
    • Maintain clean and organized production areas using 5S principles

    Required Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Ability to follow SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and work instructions
    • Strong attention to detail and “right-first-time” mindset
    • Basic computer skills and ability to document work accurately
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills
    • Willingness to work 2nd shift and flexible schedules in a 24/7 environment

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or related field
    • 1+ year experience in a cGMP-regulated industry (pharma, biotech, or medical device)
    • Familiarity with:
      • Cleanroom environments
      • Manufacturing equipment
      • Quality and compliance standards
