Performs engineering work related to designing and developing of equipment and processes to support the manufacturing of Thermon's products while supporting the lean initiatives of the organization.Key Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesLead efforts to develop new process technology to support manufacturing of existing products and implementing new product designs into production.Be accountable for and own detailed execution processes behind manufacturing orders/projects with the support of our operations teamComplete special project/tasks and duties as assigned associated with product and equipment design, testing and commissioningOwn in continuous improvement initiatives with other teammates across our operations to drive optimal organizational processesPrioritize own work to meet required schedules and product release deadlines.Support lean activities that may include working towards six-sigma initiatives.Support the improvement of production KPIs: OTD, First pass yield, NCR pareto, Shop efficiencyProvide technical support to drafting on product and manufacturing routers.Write and update standard operating procedures for operational processesDesign tools and equipmentProvide training for production personnel on manufacturing processesDevelop production drawings and routings based on engineering documentationProcess Returned Material RequestsPerform other duties as assigned, based on workload and business needsQualificationsEngineering degree with 4 years relevant experienceStrong Project Management experience: excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesLean Manufacturing experienceSelf-Motivated, willing to learnExpert level in Microsoft Office suite of toolsExtensive knowledge of production principles and techniquesProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareProficient with Solidworks.Strong technical and analytical backgroundKey Characteristics, Competencies and SkillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills and comfortable with directing and evaluating tasks/activities to supporting team membersStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess problems or issues with manufacturing equipmentPractical knowledge and use of scheduling tools such as MS ProjectExperience in manufacturing, electrical or automation industryExperience supporting a high mix medium volume manufacturing or job-shop organizationProficiency in presenting information to management and customersDrive to understand how things work
