Summary:
Supports the Machining Operations Center (MOC) within the Missiles and Fire Control facility for ultra precision machined components.
Drives process improvements within small parts assembly, paint, and plating manufacturing areas.
Interprets drawing requirements and creates detailed work instruction documentation for production needs.
Performs root cause analysis of component non-conformances and implements effective corrective action.
Creates fixture and tooling concepts, drawings, and models.
Identifies and evaluates business cases and drives implementation of automation and IFF technologies.
Participates in capital investment and equipment evaluation, selection, and project management.
Provides shop floor support to resolve technical and manufacturing issues.
Monitors and reports quality, schedule, and cost performance of assigned projects and programs.
Works on first production and long-standing production machined components using cutting edge software, machinery, and technology.
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related discipline.
Basic understanding of CAD software such as Siemens NX, CREO, Pro Engineer, or Solidworks with 3 years of experience.
Experience working in a production manufacturing environment with 3 years of experience.
Preferred: Working knowledge and experience using MES, PLM, and ERP systems with 3 years of experience.
Preferred: Experience with small parts assembly operation including precision pin installation, rivet install, and helicoils with 3 years of experience.
Preferred: Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) interpretation skills with 3 years of experience.
Preferred: Experience utilizing CREO or NX for CAD with 3 years of experience.
Preferred: Experience working with MIL-SPEC and industry standard special processes including chem-film, anodize, passivation, organic coatings, plating, and heat treatment with 3 years of experience.
Preferred: Experience with paint application and masking processes for metallic and composite components and assemblies with 2 years of experience.
