Summary:
Creates comprehensive work instructions from engineering drawings and parts lists.
Implements automation and advanced technologies to enhance build efficiency.
Leads root cause corrective action (RCCA) and Lean Six Sigma improvement projects.
Develops process improvements that lower cost, increase quality, and accelerate delivery.
Translates complex engineering blueprints into clear work instructions for manufacturing operations.
Applies knowledge of composites fabrication and optical assemblies to manufacturing processes.
Uses GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) for engineering drawings and work instructions.
Uses SAP for manufacturing operations and process management.
Uses CREO or ProE for tool design and modeling activities.
Collaborates with cross-functional engineering teams for process development.
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials, Engineering, or related discipline.
3+ years of experience with writing technical work instructions.
3+ years of working experience with composites fabrication or optical assemblies.
3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing floor environment.
Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Experience with SAP for manufacturing operations.
Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma manufacturing concepts and techniques.
Experience with CREO or ProE with a focus on tool design.
Experience implementing automation and advanced technologies in manufacturing processes.
