Description

Manufacturing Engineer (Onsite - Orlando, FL)

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for a global aerospace company. In this role, you will develop and optimize CNC manufacturing processes, production layouts, work instructions, and machining workflows using CAD/CAM, G-code, GD&T, and manufacturing data to improve efficiency, quality, and production performance.

This is a 12-month contract (extensions likely), 40-hour-per-week role (Tue-Fri 10 hours, 2nd Shift, 12 noon to 10 pm), and an Onsite role in Orlando, FL.

This is a W-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and 401K are offered.

Responsibilities:

  • As the Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for creating efficient production workflows, integrating new technologies, and ensuring high quality manufacturing outcomes.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts.
  • Integrate automation, robotics, and computer aided manufacturing software to improve efficiency.
  • Create and analyze 3D model data to optimize work instructions and process flows.
  • Evaluate equipment performance, including IoT devices, and initiate corrective actions.
  • Utilize factory data to develop statistical process control and continuous improvement analytics.
  • Designs manufacturing processes procedures and production layouts for assemblies equipment installation processing machining and material handling.
  • Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
  • Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
  • Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
  • May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
  • Inspects performance of machinery equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
  • Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques.
  • Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
  • Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.

Requirements:

  • Must be an U.S Citizen
  • 3+ years experience as Manufacturing process engineer
  • 2+ years experience with Computer Aided (CAD) software
  • 2+ years experience with CAM software
  • 2+ years experience with G-code
  • 2+ years experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) interpretation skills
  • Knowledge of precision measuring tools, gauges, and equipment.
  • General understanding of Mil-Spec special processes (heat treatment, chem-film, anodize, passivation, organic coatings, etc.).
  • 2+ years experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • Bachelors Degree

Desired Skills:

  • Experience utilizing CREO or NX for CAD
  • Experience utilizing CREO or NX for CAM
  • Experience with chem film, paint applications and other special processes.
  • Experience utilizing Vericut
  • Familiarity with ISO9000 and AS9100 industry standards, and common military specifications.
  • Effective project management.

  • Windchill PLM
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
