Description
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, quality, throughput, and overall operational performance.
- Develop, standardize, and optimize manufacturing tooling, fixtures, equipment, and assembly processes across multiple production areas.
- Collaborate with global engineering and operations teams to implement best practices and support manufacturing standardization.
- Identify and execute capital equipment projects that support facility growth and increased production capacity.
- Partner with production teams to improve product quality, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
- Create and maintain manufacturing process controls, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Support new product introduction activities to ensure robust and scalable manufacturing processes.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and production issues while implementing effective corrective actions.
- Specify, procure, and qualify manufacturing equipment, tooling, gauges, and assembly aids.
- Conduct root cause investigations and support resolution of production challenges and customer-related quality concerns.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements across manufacturing operations.
- Utilize Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, FMEA, DFMA, SPC, and Root Cause Analysis methodologies to drive sustainable improvements.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience or equivalent.
- Experience supporting assembly, testing, automated manufacturing, or production environments.
- Strong understanding of process optimization and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Experience using statistical process control (SPC) and quality improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of FMEA, DFMA, Root Cause Analysis, and continuous improvement tools.
- Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software.
- Ability to analyze manufacturing processes and implement sustainable improvements.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and production issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Six Sigma certification preferred.
- Self-motivated individual capable of managing priorities independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
