Manufacturing Engineer - CAD (Onsite - Orlando, FL)
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer - CAD for a global aerospace company. In this role, you will drive continuous improvement and technical support for precision machining, small-parts assembly, paint, and plating processes by developing work instructions, resolving manufacturing issues, and implementing tooling, automation, and process improvements.
This is a 12-month contract (extensions likely), 40-hour-per-week role (Thursday-Sunday 10 hours and an Onsite role in Orlando, FL.
This is a W-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and 401K are offered.
Responsibilities:
- As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the Machining Operations Center (MOC) within the Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) facility located in Orlando, FL. The MOC specializes in producing ultra precision machined components that are the foundation of electro optical targeting systems and missile systems.
- Responsible for driving process improvements within small parts assembly, paint, and plating manufacturing areas
- Interpret drawing requirements and create detailed work instruction documentation to support production needs
- Perform root cause analysis of component non conformances and ensure implementation of effective corrective action
- Create fixture and tooling concepts, drawings, and models
- Identify, evaluate business case, and drive successful implementation of automation and IFF technologies
- Participate in capital investment/equipment evaluation, selection, and project management
- Provide shop floor support as necessary to resolve technical and manufacturing issues
- Monitor and report on quality, schedule, and cost performance of assigned projects/programs
Requirements:
- Must be an U.S Citizen
- 3+ years experience as Manufacturing engineer in production manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years experience with CAD software such as Siemens NX, CREO, Pro Engineer, or Solidworks
- Bachelors Degree
Desired Skills:
- Working knowledge and experience using MES, PLM, and ERP systems
- Experience with small parts assembly operation including precision pin installation, rivet install, helicoils, etc.
- Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) interpretation skills
- Experience utilizing CREO or NX for CAD
- Experience working with MIL-SPEC and industry standard special processes (chem-film, anodize, passivation, organic coatings, plating, heat treatment, etc.)
- Experience with paint application and masking processes for components and assemblies (metallic and composite)
- Knowledge of precision measuring tools, gauges, and equipment
- Experience with implementing automation manuacturing solutions (Not required, nice to have)
- Experience with 3D Printing
- Experience with chemistry, including execution of titrations, pH analysis, large volume plating line evaluation and troubleshooting (Not required, nice to have)
- Familiarity with ISO9000 and AS9100 industry standards, and common military specifications

Compensation: $45/hr - $53.65/hr
