Manufacturing Engineer- Aerospace

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for preparing the processes, determining tooling, and providing programs where applicable for the production team. Further responsibilities include documentation, continuous improvement, method improvement, contract review, and storage of programs, tool lists, and processes. Qualifications:

• Technical Degree or Bachelor's Degree
• 5+ years experience in a CNC or Screw Machining manufacturing environment-machining experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Virtual Gibbs, CAD/CAM systems, MS Office tools and ERP software.
• Understanding of LEAN (5s) methodologies
• Experience in AS9100 Aerospace Manufacturing environment that produced machined parts
• Pay: DOE

Responsibilities:

• Lead changes as an example to shop floor personnel to improve the operation, effectiveness, quality improvement and profitability on the shop floor.
• Responsible for determining the manufacturing processes for new parts; work interdisciplinary and represent manufacturing engineering in APQP process.
• Part of Contract Review interdepartmental team.
• Maintaining and ensuring compliance to existing processes for manufacturing.
• Create and maintaining CNC programs for new parts scheduled for the CNC department
• Creating and Maintaining CAD Models
• Providing run times and assisting sales in the quoting process for new and existing parts.
• Providing run times and assisting sales in the quoting process for new and existing parts.
• Ensure strong coordination and communication of technical activities between the all shifts
