Managing Senior Counsel

Location: San Antonio, Texas (Hybrid)

YOUR TYPICAL DAY...

Advise executive leadership and business units on corporate, regulatory, transactional, and operational legal matters
Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts, lending agreements, and corporate legal documents
Partner with Human Resources, Marketing, Lending, Investments, Insurance, and other departments to provide practical legal guidance
Manage outside litigation counsel while protecting the organization's legal interests and minimizing risk
Supervise legal staff while helping lead the Legal Services Department and supporting corporate governance initiatives

YOU HAVE...

Licensed to practice law in Texas (or eligible for reciprocity)
6+ years of legal experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, or highly regulated industry
Experience supporting financial institutions, banking, credit unions, financial services, or banking regulatory agencies preferred
Previous leadership experience supervising attorneys, paralegals, or legal staff
Strong business acumen with the ability to balance legal risk while supporting organizational objectives
Outstanding communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with a collaborative, service-oriented mindset
