    • Root-cause and corrective action: Investigate recurring or high-impact quality issues to identify underlying causes and recommend durable corrective actions rather than one-off fixes.
    • Sales training strategy: Develop and execute the strategy to improve agent and producer training effectiveness across the distribution channel, prioritizing the behaviors that most affect sales quality, persistency, and compliant selling.
    • Training content and cadence: Create scripts, content, and a delivery cadence for sales training and refresh materials as products, suitability rules, and market conditions change.
    • Persistency and placement action plans: Partner with Distribution to diagnose persistency and placement issues in the book of business and build targeted action plans that address root causes at the IMO and producer level.
    • Conservation and special projects: Lead special projects for the Distribution team, including annuity and life conservation efforts that protect in-force business and reduce avoidable surrender and lapse.
    • Producer behavior and compliance coordination: Coordinate with Compliance to review agent behavior and outcomes, surface conduct or suitability concerns, and fold findings back into training and coaching.

    Experience and Qualifications

    • 3-5 years of experience in insurance sales, distribution, sales training, or a sales quality or compliance-adjacent function.
    • Strong understanding of insurance processes and how sales practices affect underwriting, policy issue, and in-force servicing.
    • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver training to agents and producers, in person and virtually.
    • Working proficiency with data systems and reporting tools used to manage and present sales quality information.
    • Four-year college degree or equivalent experience.

    Decision Making Authority

    • Decides training content, cadence, and delivery methods, and independently prioritizes which quality issues to address.
    • Determines persistency and placement action plans with Distribution within established guidelines.
    • Escalates conduct, suitability, or regulatory concerns to Compliance and the Chief Distribution Officer.
    • Escalates changes affecting product positioning, commission structures, or enterprise policy to leadership.

    Americo Values in Practice

    • Strive for Excellence and Quality: Holds agent training and sales practices to a high standard and continuously raises the bar on what compliant, customer-centered selling looks like.
    • Promote Openness and Forthrightness: Surfaces quality and conduct concerns clearly and early, giving Distribution, Compliance, and leadership an honest picture of the book.
    • Promote Creativity, Innovation, and Continuous Improvement: Refreshes training approaches and quality methods as products, regulations, and market conditions evolve.

    Leveling Signals

    • Connects training and quality interventions to measurable movement in persistency, placement, and suitability outcomes — not just activity completed.
    • Is sought out by Distribution and Compliance as the person who can translate a quality problem into a practical plan.
    • Balances the training, quality, and conservation dimensions of the role without letting any one crowd out the others.
