Manager, Data Practice

Summary:  
The Manager of Data Practice Team will be responsible for overseeing the complete data lifecycle within the company’s supply chain, focusing on data analysis, data management, and forecasting, with a primary focus on inventory profitability and master inventory management. The role will involve utilizing data modeling techniques and leveraging advanced forecasting methods to support accurate decision-making, optimize inventory levels, and enhance overall supply chain performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the Data Practice Team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment 
  • Develop and implement supply chain data management strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent and reliable data practices across the organization 
  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of data models and algorithms to analyze supply chain data, optimize inventory levels, and enhance inventory profitability 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, operations, and sales, to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions that improve master inventory management 
  • Utilize advanced forecasting techniques and statistical analysis to provide accurate demand forecasts, optimize inventory levels, and improve supply chain efficiency 
  • Collaborate with the data oversight team to create and maintain data validation processes to ensure data integrity and identify data quality issues, implementing appropriate corrective measures as necessary 
  • Lead the development and generation of reports and visualizations to track key supply chain performance indicators, such as inventory turnover, stockouts, and fill rates, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions 
  • Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in supply chain data management, inventory optimization, and forecasting, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to enhance data practices within the organization 
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data security, compliance, and privacy standards are maintained, following relevant regulations and guidelines 
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, highlighting key insights, performance metrics, and progress towards supply chain data practice goals 
  • Provide training and support to team members to enhance their data literacy and promote a data-driven culture within the organization 
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred) 
  • 5+ years of in supply chain data analysis, data management, or a similar role preferred 
  • Strong technical expertise in data management tools, data modeling, and forecasting techniques 
  • Knowledge of the Aerospace Supply Chain industry or a similar manufacturing/operations environment is a plus 
  • Solid understanding of supply chain management concepts, including inventory optimization, master inventory, and demand forecasting 
  • Experience in leading technical initiatives and projects, with excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities, with keen attention to detail 
  • Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
