Manager 2 - Inventory Planning/Control

Location: HYBRID onsite in Malvern, PA
Contract Duration: 15 months (Possible extension)
Pay Rate: $53.98/hr on W2 (No Benefits)

 

General Mission

Be part of Clinical Supply Chain, E2E Planning organization & help us achieve our mission of delivering hope in a box to our patients. The production and Materials Planner is a site-based role, responsible for coordination and execution of activities related to the production planning and procurement of raw materials and components to support clinical manufacturing at Malvern, PA facility. Working in a dynamic environment that is a clinical supply chain, the Production and Materials Planner is expected to support projects that are aimed at optimizing & maturing our E2E clinical network as well as activities within the MRP space.

 

Specific Mission

Production Scheduling

·         Schedule and coordinate primary and supporting production planning activities to prioritize and ensure timely release of intermediates and API based on the Master Production Schedule (MPS).

·         Update actual production status in SAP and Advanced Planning Systems and create and release process orders as per the agreed detailed scheduling horizon. Ensure planning system parameters are maintained up to date.

Material Requirements Planning

·         Review purchase requisitions and exception messages, driven by both a system-based, and manual demand intake process as a result of changes within the Clinical Master Production Schedule, and/or Cell Bank development changes.

·         Ensure orders are placed in alignment with supplier lead time and maintain optimal inventory levels based on the desired level of flexibility within a clinical supply chain.

·         Run scenarios & provide decision matrix on order placement to E2E planning team (Supply Network Planner, E2E Planner, Clinical Supply Integrator, Malvern Clinical Operations, and CMC Lead) when required.

·         Liaises with supplier to clarify potential plan constraints and partner with Global Procurement, Supply Network Planning & Malvern Clinical Operations until issues are solved.

·         Ensures material is delivered and released on time to successfully execute the production plan including additional expedition of new materials due to aggressive First In Human Trial timelines.

Supply Constraint Management

·         Manages potential abrupt deviations to the plan assessing with the suppliers the feasibility of the changes, rapidly highlighting to the affected internal stakeholders if the changes are not possible.

·         Provide material feasibility assessments as input into API Clinical Sourcing Committee indicating if requests are feasible & constraints along with resolution scenarios.

·         Tracks and reports site level supplier service performance, communicating the information to the relevant parties.

Other

·         Manages fast tracked introduction of new material including activities such as master data creation, planning parameters, ordering of qualification sample while providing clear communication to project stakeholders.

·         Partner with warehouse staff to understand and adhere to space constraints, managing inventory levels within agreed targets, and proactively communicating any planning changes that will impact future storage strategies.

·         Interfaces with QA and warehouse staff regarding rejected/defective materials, making the necessary physical arrangements with the supplier to ensure a prompt return of goods or disposal if needed.

·         Participate in initiatives to improve business processes and tools.

Profile Need for This Function

Knowledge

·         Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of clinical trials & clinical supply chain

·         Knowledge of Biologics & Advanced Therapy manufacturing processes

·         Knowledge of Supply Chain Planning principles

·         Project & Change management skills

·         Strong operational and data analysis skills. Ability to analyze data to identify and resolve exceptions aiming to minimize supply disruptions

·         Results-oriented, sense of urgency

·         Ability to work in a cross-functional and cross-cultural environment, considering diverse perspectives and styles

Degree

·         Minimum of a Bachelor's degree focus in Science, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or related field is preferred.

·         3+ years of relevant professional work experience (including manufacturing, logistics, planning) is required.

·         Supply chain certification (APICS/IBF) is desirable.

Languages

·         English

Specific Know How of Systems

·         Experience with ERP (SAP) & Advanced Planning Systems (OMP) is preferred

·         Knowledge in Office applications (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint)

·         Experience in GMP, GCP, GDP and/or quality management systems or processes

Additional Information

·         Bachelors degree is preferred

·         Start on materials planning

·         Should have Supply Chain exp

·         Will help with 6 different portfolios, most likely assigned to 1 to assist with

·         Will be checking SAP every day

·         Will be networking with Operations and Warehouse Teams

·         Help with the Production Planning

·         This role is very cross-functional

·         Must have at least 3 years of exp in manufacturing planning or logistics planning

·         Exp networking with other teams / must be a team player

·         Manufacturing or Logistics Planning exp
