Summary:
The Malpractice Liability Specialist assists the Corporate Director of Professional Liability in multiple aspects of Penn's Professional Liability Program. This position actively enrolls patient care providers into Penn's self-insured medical malpractice program using specialized professional liability underwriting and claims software systems.
The Malpractice Liability Specialist is responsible for assuring timely reporting to the State of PA all Mcare eligible providers and entities. This position is accountable for maintaining and auditing the Mcare accounting assessment charges to include assuring all permissible discounts have been applied for.
The Malpractice Liability Specialist supports and assists users of professional liability software systems. The position maintains good and positive working relationships with department stakeholders and the Penn community at large.
The Office of Professional Liability is the process owner of various projects. The person in this position is expected to assist the Corporate Director of Professional Liability in the development and implementation of systems, processes, and standards in a coordinated and efficient manner.
