Position Summary

The Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of facilities, equipment, and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will be dependable, hands-on, safety-conscious, and able to perform a variety of maintenance tasks with limited supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs to buildings, facilities, equipment, and fixtures.
Assist with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general repair tasks.
Inspect facilities and equipment and report maintenance issues or safety concerns.
Perform preventative maintenance as assigned.
Replace or repair basic fixtures, hardware, doors, locks, and other building components.
Maintain clean, safe, and orderly work areas.
Operate basic hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely.
Assist with moving furniture, equipment, supplies, and other materials as needed.
Perform grounds and exterior maintenance when required.
Respond to maintenance requests and complete work orders in a timely manner.
Follow established safety procedures and applicable regulations.
Maintain appropriate records of completed maintenance work.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous maintenance, facilities, construction, or general repair experience preferred.
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical repairs.
Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools.
Ability to troubleshoot basic maintenance issues.
Strong attention to safety and detail.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's license may be required depending on assignment.
