Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician I / Driver to join a growing operation in Oklahoma City. This position combines hands-on facility maintenance with local driving responsibilities, including picking up and delivering parts, materials, and supplies using a company vehicle.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable handling a variety of basic maintenance tasks, and capable of troubleshooting equipment and facility issues while working independently or as part of a team.
Required Experience & Skills
Must be 21 years of age or older
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
13 years of related maintenance experience preferred
Basic understanding of 120V, 240V, and 480V three-phase electrical systems
Knowledge of plumbing systems, including PVC and piping
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team
Strong reliability and dependable attendance
Professional, customer-service-oriented attitude
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform routine preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and facility maintenance issues
Complete basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical repairs
Maintain and repair building fixtures, including lights, doors, windows, floors, and related components
Select and safely use appropriate tools and materials for maintenance projects
Support daily maintenance department operations and facility needs
Drive a company vehicle for local pickups and deliveries of parts, materials, and supplies
Communicate maintenance concerns and equipment issues to appropriate personnel
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
Follow all company safety procedures and policies
Perform additional maintenance and facility support duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Previous industrial, commercial, or facilities maintenance experience
Experience with preventive maintenance programs
Familiarity with three-phase electrical systems
Basic plumbing and building repair experience
Previous experience driving a company vehicle for local deliveries or service work
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and repetitive physical activity throughout the workday
Ability to safely use maintenance tools and equipment while wearing required PPE
Comfortable performing hands-on maintenance work in a variety of facility environments
Work Environment
Combination of facility maintenance and local driving responsibilities
Exposure to electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building systems
Regular use of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
