This role focuses on performing comprehensive mechanical and electrical maintenance on CNC equipment, pumps, and manufacturing machinery while establishing and executing a robust preventive maintenance (PM) program. You will work across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support efficient production operations.
Responsibilities
+ Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on CNC equipment, pumps, and manufacturing machines to keep them operating safely and efficiently.
+ Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair issues involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
+ Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to identify problems and guide repairs.
+ Create a comprehensive preventive maintenance (PM) schedule that includes daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly tasks for all critical equipment.
+ Implement and maintain the PM schedule to minimize machine downtime and extend equipment life.
+ Document maintenance activities, repairs, and PM tasks to ensure accurate records and continuous improvement.
+ Coordinate and communicate effectively with coworkers and other internal teams to schedule maintenance and minimize production disruptions.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues, including PLC-related problems, to restore equipment functionality.
+ Support industrial maintenance activities across the facility, including machine, pump, and related equipment maintenance.
+ Collaborate with the facilities team to address facility-related maintenance needs as required.
+ Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes and contribute to the development of an industrial maintenance team.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
+ Hands-on experience creating or implementing a new preventive maintenance (PM) schedule.
+ Proficiency in mechanical maintenance, including work on CNC equipment, pumps, and manufacturing machines.
+ Strong electrical maintenance and troubleshooting skills, including electrical troubleshooting and PLC troubleshooting.
+ Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
+ Demonstrated experience with CNC maintenance, including troubleshooting and repair.
+ Solid understanding of preventive maintenance principles and best practices.
+ Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with coworkers and other departments.
+ Strong troubleshooting skills in an industrial maintenance environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Facilities maintenance experience is a plus.
+ Experience working in a job shop or manufacturing environment.
+ Ability to independently manage maintenance priorities as the primary industrial maintenance technician.
+ Comfort working with Swiss machines and mills in a fluid power pump manufacturing environment.
+ Interest in helping grow and shape an industrial maintenance function and team.

Work Environment
This position operates on a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday, with typical hours of either 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and only rare on-call requirements on weekends for emergencies. The role is based in a job shop environment that manufactures a variety of fluid power pumps using Swiss machines and mills. The facility is organized, clean, and staffed by approximately 125 employees, creating a structured yet approachable atmosphere. You will serve as the only employee dedicated specifically to industrial maintenance, working closely with a facilities manager and a facilities technician as part of a small, focused team. The environment emphasizes cleanliness, safety, and efficiency, with a relaxed and enjoyable culture that supports collaboration and steady, reliable operations.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $66560.00 - $83200.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
