Position Overview

Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician I / Driver to join a facility maintenance team in Oklahoma City. This position combines hands-on building and equipment maintenance with local driving responsibilities, including picking up and delivering parts, materials, and supplies using a company vehicle.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, has previous maintenance experience, and is comfortable handling a variety of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general facility repair tasks while supporting daily maintenance operations.




Required Experience & Skills

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
• 1–3 years of related maintenance experience preferred
• Basic understanding of 120V, 240V, and 480V three-phase electrical systems
• Knowledge of plumbing systems, including PVC and piping
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team
• Strong reliability and dependable attendance
• Professional, customer-service-oriented attitude




Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and facility maintenance issues
• Complete basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical repairs
• Maintain and repair building fixtures including lights, doors, windows, floors, and related components
• Select and safely use appropriate tools and materials for maintenance projects
• Support daily maintenance department operations and facility needs
• Drive a company vehicle for local pickups and deliveries of parts, materials, and supplies
• Communicate maintenance concerns and equipment issues to appropriate personnel
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance policies
• Perform additional facility maintenance and support duties as assigned




Electrical & Mechanical Knowledge

Candidates should have a basic understanding of:

• 120V electrical systems
• 240V electrical systems
• 480V three-phase electrical systems
• Basic electrical troubleshooting
• PVC and piping systems
• General plumbing repairs
• Building fixtures and facility systems
• Preventive maintenance procedures




Preferred Qualifications

• Previous industrial, commercial, or facilities maintenance experience
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs
• Familiarity with three-phase electrical systems
• Basic plumbing and building repair experience
• Carpentry and painting experience
• Previous experience driving a company vehicle for local deliveries or service work
• Strong equipment troubleshooting and problem-solving skills




Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and perform hands-on maintenance work throughout the shift
• Ability to safely use maintenance tools, ladders, and equipment while wearing required PPE
• Comfortable performing maintenance work in a variety of facility environments
• Ability to safely enter and exit company vehicles throughout the workday
• Physically capable of handling parts, tools, materials, and maintenance supplies as required

• Combination of facility maintenance and local driving responsibilities
• Exposure to electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and general building systems
• Regular use of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
• Local driving for parts and material pickups and deliveries
