About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and repair of facility equipment, building systems, and grounds. This role combines industrial and facility maintenance and requires someone comfortable troubleshooting mechanical issues and handling a wide range of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general repair needs.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform general building repairs, preventive maintenance, and routine facility maintenance
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment, machinery, and facility systems
- Complete carpentry, painting, drywall, ceiling tile, flooring, and other general repairs
- Perform basic plumbing repairs, including fixtures, leaks, drains, and restroom equipment
- Complete basic electrical work, including replacing outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, ballasts, and bulbs
- Inspect HVAC systems, perform minor repairs, and coordinate specialized service when needed
- Assemble, install, relocate, and repair shelving, furniture, office equipment, and warehouse fixtures
- Maintain dock equipment, doors, locks, gates, handrails, and other facility infrastructure
- Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and potential safety concerns
- Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize repairs based on operational needs
- Assist with equipment installations, office moves, facility improvements, and special projects
- Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance work areas
- Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs and services
- Follow company safety procedures and OSHA requirements
- Document completed maintenance activities and work orders
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or technical certification is a plus
- 3+ years of experience in general maintenance, building maintenance, handyman services, or industrial maintenance
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building repair techniques
- Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or industrial environment preferred
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and facility equipment preferred
- Welding, fabrication, or machine repair experience is a plus
- Forklift and/or scissor lift certification is a plus, or willingness to obtain certification
- Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and maintenance equipment
- Basic computer skills for completing maintenance logs and work orders
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance needs
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work involving bending, climbing, kneeling, and extended periods of standing
- Ability to work throughout warehouse, manufacturing, office, and outdoor environments with varying temperatures, noise, dust, and industrial equipment
