Integrated Staffing is partnering with a residential housing client in Wilton, NY to hire a Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and overall condition of the property. This role ensures that building systems, common areas, and apartment units remain in excellent working order through daily inspections, routine cleaning, troubleshooting, and both preventive and corrective maintenance. The technician works closely with site management to support residents, minimize downtime, and uphold high standards of quality and safety throughout the community.
The Maintenance Technician position pays $22.00-24.00/hour, depending on experience. The approximate work hours are Monday to Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM.
Complete daily walkthroughs of the residential property to identify safety concerns or maintenance needs
Collect and dispose of trash and recycling from designated areas
Clean and sanitize shared spaces such as restrooms, laundry rooms, trash rooms, and community rooms
Paint interior common areas as needed
Prepare vacant apartments for new residents, including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs
Remove furniture and debris from vacated units
Strip, seal, and wax flooring in common areas
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment
Repair or replace sinks, toilets, faucets, vanities, cabinets, and other fixtures
Install basic plumbing components and resolve minor plumbing issues such as clogged drains
Complete minor electrical work, including replacing light fixtures, outlets, switches, and fuses/breakers
Assist with basic servicing of furnaces, water heaters, and related equipment
Safely operate a variety of hand tools and power tools
Repair or replace doors, locks, windowsills, and similar building components
Install or remove window blinds and screens
Diagnose, repair, and install major household appliances (refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, disposals, air conditioners, laundry machines)
Adjust pilot lights and ignite furnaces or water heaters
Remove snow and apply ice melt to walkways and pedestrian areas
Prepare supply and material requests for approval by the Site Manager
Respond to weather related emergencies outside regular hours
Participate in on call rotation and respond to after hours emergencies
Assist residents with lockouts
The Maintenance Technician must be able to accurately complete work orders, logs, and timesheets, and should be comfortable using a smartphone or computer to research parts, supplies, and repair tutorials.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
Ability to work outdoors in both hot and extremely cold weather
