Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Malta, NY
Pay Rate: $27.50/hr, W2
Duration: 12+ Month Contract
Summary:
Work Mode: Onsite
Shift: M-F 07:30am-4:30pm
Responsibilities:
Responsible for repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance related to production and engineering operations.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment associated with gas manifolds and facility equipment.
Install and modify chemical processing equipment and repair auxiliary equipment.
Promote safety and organization in the maintenance department.
Review and update Work Instructions for preventive maintenance intervals.
Execute the Preventative Maintenance Program and the Monitoring and Measuring Devices Program.
Specialize in engineering improvement construction projects with a well-defined scope and schedule.
Recommend spare parts inventory levels and write Purchase Requisitions for needed parts.
Perform component rebuilds and calibrations.
Understand and follow the process flow within chemical processing equipment and perform valid leak checks.
Organize and sort information using available computer software.
Complete all assigned training and participate in the company's emergency response (ER) team.
Must remain clean-shaven and able to wear a full-face tight-fitting respirator and a fully encapsulated ER suit.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in the chemical industry or related to fluid systems.
Ability to pass a respiratory and physical test to wear a full-face respirator.
Fitness for duty, including the ability to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders.
Ability to read and construct from a P&ID or Engineering drawing.
Basic electronic, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills.
General maintenance skills and tube bending skills.
