Description

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Malta, NY

Pay Rate: $27.50/hr, W2

Duration: 12+ Month Contract

Summary:

  • Work Mode: Onsite
  • Shift: M-F 07:30am-4:30pm

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance related to production and engineering operations.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment associated with gas manifolds and facility equipment.
  • Install and modify chemical processing equipment and repair auxiliary equipment.
  • Promote safety and organization in the maintenance department.
  • Review and update Work Instructions for preventive maintenance intervals.
  • Execute the Preventative Maintenance Program and the Monitoring and Measuring Devices Program.
  • Specialize in engineering improvement construction projects with a well-defined scope and schedule.
  • Recommend spare parts inventory levels and write Purchase Requisitions for needed parts.
  • Perform component rebuilds and calibrations.
  • Understand and follow the process flow within chemical processing equipment and perform valid leak checks.
  • Organize and sort information using available computer software.
  • Complete all assigned training and participate in the company's emergency response (ER) team.
  • Must remain clean-shaven and able to wear a full-face tight-fitting respirator and a fully encapsulated ER suit.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in the chemical industry or related to fluid systems.
  • Ability to pass a respiratory and physical test to wear a full-face respirator.
  • Fitness for duty, including the ability to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders.
  • Ability to read and construct from a P&ID or Engineering drawing.
  • Basic electronic, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills.
  • General maintenance skills and tube bending skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
