Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician I / Driver to join a growing operation in Oklahoma City. This position combines facility maintenance responsibilities with local parts and material deliveries using a company vehicle. The successful candidate will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot building systems, complete general repairs, and support daily maintenance operations while providing safe and professional transportation services.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, self-motivated, and enjoys a variety of maintenance and driving responsibilities throughout the workday.
Required Experience & Skills
Must be 21 years of age or older
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
1 3 years of maintenance experience preferred
Basic knowledge of 120V, 240V, and 480V three-phase electrical systems
Basic plumbing knowledge, including PVC and piping repairs
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent reliability, attendance, and time management skills
Customer service mindset with professional communication skills
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform routine preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and facility maintenance issues
Complete general maintenance repairs, including carpentry, plumbing, painting, and basic electrical work
Repair and maintain building fixtures, including lighting, doors, windows, flooring, and related components
Select and properly use tools, materials, and equipment needed to complete maintenance tasks
Support daily operations of the maintenance department with repair and improvement projects
Drive a company vehicle to complete local pickups and deliveries of parts, materials, and supplies
Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate repair needs to supervisors
Follow all company safety policies, maintenance procedures, and driving regulations
Perform additional maintenance and facility support duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Previous industrial or commercial facility maintenance experience
Experience with preventive maintenance programs
Familiarity with HVAC systems and mechanical equipment
Previous experience operating company vehicles for deliveries or service work
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and reaching throughout the workday
Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions while wearing required PPE
Work Environment
Industrial manufacturing and facility maintenance environment
Combination of maintenance work, warehouse support, and local driving responsibilities
Exposure to electrical systems, plumbing, maintenance equipment, and industrial machinery
