Maintenance Technician

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the smooth operation of our production equipment and facility by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and repairing machinery critical to our production process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime.
• Repair and replace defective parts or components of equipment to restore functionality.
• Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain and update maintenance logs, records, and documentation.
• Collaborate with production teams to address equipment needs and ensure operational efficiency.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification in mechanics, electrical systems, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic, preferably in a food production or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in a manufacturing setting.
• Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings, as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
• Comfortable working in a production environment with varying temperatures.
• Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
