Position Overview

Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician for an industrial opportunity in Tulsa. This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment problems, and completing facility repairs to help keep daily operations running safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has previous maintenance experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and basic electrical troubleshooting skills. Candidates should be comfortable working independently, identifying equipment problems, and using hand and power tools to complete maintenance and repair assignments.

This position also requires flexibility to participate in an on-call rotation and provide weekend coverage when needed.

Required Experience & Skills

• Previous maintenance experience preferred

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance
• Inspect equipment for wear or developing problems
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment issues
• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting
• Complete equipment repairs as assigned
• Perform general facility repairs
• Respond to maintenance requests
• Identify defective or worn components
• Replace applicable components when required
• Use hand and power tools safely
• Help minimize equipment downtime
• Maintain tools and maintenance equipment
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Communicate equipment concerns to appropriate personnel
• Complete assigned maintenance tasks independently
• Follow all company safety procedures
• Participate in scheduled on-call responsibilities
• Provide weekend maintenance coverage when required
• Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned

Preventative Maintenance

Candidates may regularly:

• Complete scheduled equipment inspections
• Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks
• Identify signs of equipment wear
• Check equipment for developing mechanical concerns
• Perform basic servicing as assigned
• Help prevent unexpected equipment failures
• Communicate potential problems before they result in downtime

Mechanical Troubleshooting

• Identify mechanical equipment problems
• Troubleshoot basic equipment failures
• Inspect components for wear or damage
• Determine appropriate repair needs
• Replace applicable parts and components
• Test equipment following repairs
• Communicate more complex maintenance concerns when necessary

Electrical Troubleshooting

Candidates should have basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge and be comfortable:

• Identifying basic electrical problems
• Inspecting applicable electrical components
• Troubleshooting equipment-related electrical concerns
• Using appropriate tools safely
• Following established electrical safety procedures
• Escalating repairs beyond their training or authorization

Facility Maintenance

Responsibilities may also include:

• General building repairs
• Equipment-area maintenance
• Minor facility repairs
• Tool and equipment upkeep
• Maintaining safe work areas
• Addressing routine facility maintenance requests
• Supporting other operational maintenance needs

On-Call & Weekend Requirements

This position requires schedule flexibility.

• Provide weekend coverage based on operational requirements
• Adjust to maintenance needs that may occur outside the regular weekday schedule

• Manual dexterity required for equipment repairs and maintenance
• Ability to safely work around industrial equipment and machinery
• Comfortable performing physically active maintenance work
• Ability to wear all required PPE

Work Environment

• Industrial maintenance environment
• Regular work around production equipment, tools, machinery, and facility systems
• Combination of preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment repair, and facility upkeep
• Regular Monday–Friday | 5:00 AM – 2:00 PM schedule
• Weekend coverage may be required
• Participation in an on-call rotation required
• Strong emphasis on safety, equipment reliability, problem-solving, and dependable attendance
