Facility Maintenance Technician
Location: Franklin, WI
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
Overtime available as needed.
Pay: $25.00-$30.00/hour (Based on experience)

Sterling Engineering is partnering with a well-established, employee-owned manufacturing company seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to join their Franklin, WI team.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on facility and production equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Complete scheduled preventative maintenance activities
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Repair and maintain facility systems including mechanical, plumbing, and basic electrical equipment
  • Assist with equipment installations and machine setup
  • Use CMMS software to document maintenance activities and order replacement parts
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, hoists, and other maintenance equipment
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records
  • Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing best practices
  • Assist with training less experienced maintenance technicians as needed
Qualifications
Required:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • 1-3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, automotive, mechanical, or HVAC environment
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals
  • Experience using common hand and power tools
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CMMS systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance requests
Preferred:
  • Industrial manufacturing maintenance experience
  • Basic HVAC knowledge
  • NFPA 70E training
  • Refrigeration certification
