INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

$28.00–$40.00/HOUR | SPARTANBURG, SC

Are you an experienced Industrial Electrical Technician who thrives on troubleshooting complex manufacturing equipment?

We’re looking for a skilled Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician to join a continuously operating Tier 1 automotive manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys working with PLC controls, robotics, automated equipment, electrical systems, and advanced manufacturing technology.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

You’ll play a critical role in keeping production equipment running safely and efficiently while minimizing downtime.

• Troubleshoot and maintain custom electro-mechanical equipment, automated work cells, vision systems, and multi-axis robotics

• Troubleshoot and debug PLC programs ranging from basic to complex

• Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic circuits

• Troubleshoot AC/DC drives, motors, and related control systems

• Read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings

• Perform preventive maintenance on plant systems and production equipment

• Support installation and startup of new equipment as needed

• Respond quickly to equipment issues to maximize production uptime

• Identify opportunities for improved equipment reliability and production processes

• Complete technical projects supporting new and improved manufacturing processes

• Work independently while knowing when to escalate complex issues or request additional support

EQUIPMENT YOU'LL WORK WITH

This facility utilizes a variety of advanced manufacturing equipment, including:

• Extrusion lines

• Automated secondary equipment

• Injection molding machines and auxiliaries

• Power punch presses

• Automated work cells

• Multi-axis robotics

• Vision systems

• PLC-controlled equipment

• AC/DC drives and motors

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• High school diploma/GED plus a 2-year technical degree preferred

• 1–3 years of relevant experience, or demonstrable industrial/manufacturing experience

• Strong industrial electrical troubleshooting skills

• PLC troubleshooting and programming/debugging experience

• Experience with automated manufacturing equipment

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings/schematics

• Working knowledge of AC/DC drives and motors

• Strong mechanical/electrical problem-solving abilities

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions

• Willingness to ask for assistance when needed

Safety is a priority. You’ll work in a clean, well-lit, air-conditioned manufacturing facility while following all required safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Earplugs and safety glasses are required, with additional PPE provided as needed.
