    Position Overview

    Stand-By Personnel is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for a manufacturing opportunity in the Tulsa area. This position is responsible for leading maintenance personnel, coordinating repair activities, troubleshooting industrial equipment, and ensuring production machinery remains safe, reliable, and operational.

    The Maintenance Supervisor will combine hands-on technical troubleshooting with team leadership, working closely with Production and Management to minimize downtime, improve equipment performance, and support overall manufacturing efficiency.

    Candidates must have at least 2 years of maintenance supervision or related experience with strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

    Required Experience & Skills

    • Minimum 2+ years of maintenance supervision or related experience required
    • Previous maintenance leadership experience
    • Industrial equipment troubleshooting and repair experience
    • Strong electrical systems knowledge
    • Strong hydraulic systems knowledge
    • Strong pneumatic systems knowledge
    • Ability to diagnose machinery and equipment failures
    • Previous employee training and development experience
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to coordinate multiple maintenance priorities
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills
    • Ability to communicate effectively with Production and Management
    • High school diploma or GED required
    • Some college coursework preferred
    • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic  

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Supervise daily maintenance operations
    • Lead and support maintenance personnel
    • Assign and coordinate maintenance activities
    • Troubleshoot production equipment and machinery
    • Assist employees with complex equipment repairs
    • Perform hands-on troubleshooting and repair when needed
    • Coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance activities
    • Design and modify equipment as required
    • Assist with installation of equipment and machinery
    • Establish maintenance procedures
    • Adjust maintenance procedures based on production needs
    • Identify opportunities to improve equipment efficiency
    • Recommend process and equipment improvements
    • Implement approved maintenance improvements
    • Coordinate maintenance activities with Production
    • Communicate equipment status with Management
    • Help minimize equipment downtime
    • Train and develop maintenance employees
    • Maintain facility equipment and machinery
    • Support maintenance of facility grounds
    • Follow all company safety procedures
    • Perform additional supervisory and maintenance duties as assigned  

    Maintenance Leadership

    The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for providing day-to-day direction to maintenance personnel.

    Responsibilities may include:

    • Assigning maintenance priorities
    • Coordinating repair activities
    • Monitoring completion of maintenance work
    • Providing technical assistance
    • Training employees
    • Developing maintenance skills within the team
    • Reinforcing safety procedures

    Equipment Troubleshooting & Repair

    Candidates must have the technical knowledge necessary to troubleshoot industrial equipment involving:

    • Electrical systems
    • Hydraulic systems
    • Pneumatic systems
    • Mechanical components
    • Production machinery
    • Facility equipment  

    The Maintenance Supervisor should be comfortable diagnosing equipment problems, determining appropriate repair strategies, and assisting maintenance personnel with repairs when necessary.

    Equipment Design, Modification & Installation

    Responsibilities may include:

    • Designing equipment improvements
    • Modifying existing machinery
    • Supporting equipment upgrades
    • Installing new equipment
    • Coordinating machinery modifications
    • Identifying opportunities to improve equipment performance
    • Working with Production to ensure modifications support operational needs  

    Maintenance Procedures & Process Improvement

    The Maintenance Supervisor will help establish and improve maintenance procedures designed to support production goals.

    Responsibilities may include:

    • Reviewing existing maintenance practices
    • Establishing maintenance procedures
    • Adjusting procedures based on equipment needs
    • Identifying recurring equipment problems
    • Recommending corrective improvements

    Production & Management Coordination

    The Maintenance Supervisor will work closely with other departments to:

    • Coordinate equipment downtime

    • Helping employees improve repair efficiency and technical knowledge  

    Facility Maintenance

    In addition to production machinery, this position may support maintenance of:

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to stand and walk throughout an industrial facility
    • Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling as maintenance activities require

    • Ability to safely work around industrial machinery and production equipment
    • Comfortable performing hands-on maintenance work when necessary
    • Ability to safely use applicable hand and power tools
