POSITION OBJECTIVE: The primary responsibilities of this position are to repair machines and equipment, perform preventive machine and equipment maintenance, and perform miscellaneous building maintenance and repairs. Small projects are included in job duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with Production Managers, Production Supervisors and Maintenance personnel to ensure that all machines and equipment are operating within manufacturers’ specifications.
Work closely with Machine Operators and Production Supervisors to ensure that all machines and equipment are running efficiently.
Assist in the setting up of new machines and equipment.
Provide clear, complete, and concise communication and feedback with Production Managers and Maintenance Manager as needed.
Monitor repair orders to ensure required repairs and maintenance are done in a timely manner.
Conduct routine and preventive maintenance procedures on machines and equipment.
Assist with building repairs and maintenance as needed.
Ensure all required paperwork is completed, accurate, organized, and properly routed.
Must follow all master maintenance schedules and properly fill out all logs.
Must follow all Company Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), while also maintaining all GMP, FDA and OSHA standards.
Other general maintenance, warehouse-related and food production facility duties as assigned by management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Must be able to count effectively and accurately (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
Must be able to work collaboratively in a team and work independently without direct supervision.
Must have at least 3 years of experience as a Mechanic, repairing machines, and equipment. Preferably in a food production facility.
Must have his or her own hand tools.
Must be willing to work in hot and cold temperatures.
Must be able to read electrical schematics & diagrams.
Must be willing to work any shift if needed.

100% of the time performing job duties is spent indoors, within a standard warehouse and production facility environment.
While performing job duties, the employee works near or around material handling equipment (e.g. forklifts, pallet-jacks), moving mechanical parts, belt-driven equipment, and psi-enabled equipment, and other automated equipment and is exposed to electric shock.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may require hearing protection.
The temperature of the work environment can range from 50 to 100 degrees.
Occasional use of a respirator is required.
