The mechanic performs both preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of food processing systems and utility equipment while minimizing downtime and maintaining operational efficiency. Description : The Pilot Plant Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and continuous improvement of pilot plant processing and packaging equipment.

Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
pay rate: $22 per hour

Description:

The Pilot Plant Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and continuous improvement of pilot plant processing and packaging equipment. This position supports product development, scale-up activities, and manufacturing operations by ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and compliance with food industry standards. The mechanic performs both preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of food processing systems and utility equipment while minimizing downtime and maintaining operational efficiency.

Maintain and repair food processing equipment including:

• Retorts
• Aseptic sterilizers
• Homogenizers
• High-shear mixers
• Processing vessels and tanks
• Heat exchangers
• Pumps and piping systems
• Conveyors
• Filling and packaging systems

Support equipment startups, changeovers, and commissioning activities.

Physical Requirements

Education:
High School diploma with at least 3+ years of experience
