Deffenbaugh Homes is looking for a responsible Maintenance and Grounds Technician to keep properties, jobsites, and equipment clean, organized, safe, and well maintained. This position performs a wide variety of groundskeeping, maintenance, construction support, renovation, snow removal, and equipment repair tasks throughout the year.
This position requires a reliable, self-motivated, hands-on individual who can recognize what needs to be done and take care of it without constant direction and supervision.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Mow, trim, weed eat, and maintain company properties and grounds
- Maintain and clean silt fencing and other jobsite erosion control measures
- Perform seasonal grounds maintenance, including planting and caring for trees and landscaping
- Perform snow and ice removal from company properties and other areas as needed
- Keep company shop and storage areas organized
- Inspect equipment and identify maintenance or repair needs
- Perform basic repairs and preventative maintenance on company equipment
- Perform basic carpentry work and assist with renovation projects as needed
Knowledge and Skills
- General knowledge of property and grounds maintenance
- Basic understanding of construction and building maintenance

Qualifications
- 2+ years of maintenance, construction, groundskeeping, mechanical or related experience preferred
- Experience with small engines, equipment, or general mechanical repair preferred
- Construction or carpentry experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to operate company vehicles and equipment safely
- Ability to lift 75 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks without constant supervision
