Job Summary
As a Mailroom Associate, you will provide a high level of comprehensive mailroom services to the Department of Human Services (DHS). This will include sorting and delivering mail and packages and providing a high level of customer service in a professional, efficient and timely manner to all internal and external customers. This role may also serve as an initial representative of DHS by greeting DHS guests, answering questions and responding to informational requests from the general public, and assisting callers and walk-in visitors in any way they can to help them address their needs.

Minimum Qualifications
To facilitate proper crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month, day and year for each job held.
Customer service skills sufficient to provide prompt, courteous, and accurate information to internal and external stakeholders via email, in person, or over the phone.
English language skills in writing, speaking, and reading sufficient to compose correspondence with accurate spelling, grammar, and punctuation and to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
Typing/Keyboarding skills sufficient to accurately type information into various formats.
Physical Demands sufficient to stay on your feet for multiple hours at a time, and to carry boxes that weigh up to 70 pounds routinely.
Possession of Valid Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of DHS programs and organizational structures.
Knowledge of data privacy standards.
Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
Physical Requirements
Standing for multiple hours at a time.
Lifting up to 70 lbs.
Additional Requirements
REFERENCE/BACKGROUND CHECKS - DHS will conduct reference checks to verify job-related credentials and a criminal background check prior to appointment.
