Performs re-reeling and/or barrel packing of finished product, wraps reels and loads onto skids.

Description

Operates extruder machine including set up, stringing the extruder wire, checking the proper tip, die and print wheel, picks out tickets, changes extruder screws, operates the accumulator, loads payoff reel.
Sets and adjusts center on wire.
Checks all input material, including compound and monitors same, color concentrate and tapes going into the job.
Starts up and shuts down high pressure steam line generator.
Sets up and monitors ink printer.
Performs re-reeling and/or barrel packing of finished product, wraps reels and loads onto skids.
Performs maintenance on extruder, reporting any problems to maintenance.
Maintains records and submits paperwork
Aware of Kalas’ environmental policy and what it means to them.
Aware of their significant environmental aspects and knows how to mitigate or eliminate the environmental impacts associated with them.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Additional overtime may be required.
Meets attendance requirements as stated in associate handbook.
Observes all company housekeeping and safety rules.
Often takes towmotor to get wire and compound.
