The Expedition School is seeking a long term teaching assistant substitute (Kindergarten) for January through March of 2027. The teaching assistant will perform tasks that may include, but are not limited to:
- Photocopying
- Working with small groups of students
- Working one-on-one with a student
- Supervising the transition of students to and from special classes
- Organizing learning materials
- Covering a class in the event a teacher needs to step out
The teaching assistant will also be available to substitute teach a class in the event a teacher is absent and another substitute teacher is not available.
Requirements:
- Flexible, quick learner, caring with young children, able to take directions as well as self-start necessary tasks that help improve student learning, classroom environment and classroom teacher efficiency

- Utilize effective and positive classroom management techniques in a multi-age classroom

- Must be able to lift 30 pound boxes and be able to bend, stand and move throughout campus. We have a multi-level campus including gravel, grass, and cement
Schedule
- 29 hours a week total
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 8:15 AM-2:30 PM
- Early release Wednesdays from 8:00 AM-12:00 PM
- Full-day Wednesdays from 8:15 AM-2:30 PM
- January 4th, 2027 through March 11th, 2027 (These are approximate dates only. Some shadow days in December may be included)
