Logistics Coordinator
Location: Near Hobby Airport, Houston, TX
Pay: $16.50–$20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:00 PM; Friday, 6:00 AM–12:00 PM
Openwork, formerly Meador Staffing, is hiring a Logistics Coordinator for a busy shipping and logistics operation near Hobby Airport.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate shipping and transportation arrangements for pickups and deliveries
- Communicate with customers, carriers, drivers, and internal teams to ensure shipments are handled efficiently
- Collect, enter, and maintain accurate shipping and logistics data
- Organize files, shipping documents, and other records
- Provide clerical and administrative support for daily shipping operations
- Spend approximately 65% of the day performing desk/clerical duties
- Spend approximately 35% of the day performing hands-on tasks, including packaging and preparing shipments
- Assist with coordinating the movement and preparation of outgoing shipments
- Maintain an organized and accurate work area
Qualifications
- Previous clerical shipping or logistics experience preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable handling data collection, filing, and documentation
- Ability to coordinate transportation arrangements for pickups and deliveries
- Comfortable balancing office/desk work with hands-on packaging duties
- Reliable, professional, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
