Our client in California is seeking an experienced Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician Assistant for a 70-day assignment. This role involves a Monday-Friday, 40-hour per week schedule, delivering comprehensive women's health services including annual exams, preventive care, contraceptive counseling, STI management, and various gynecological procedures.Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform annual well-woman exams
- Conduct preventive gynecologic visits
- Provide breast health screening visits
- Offer menopause wellness visits
- Deliver contraceptive counseling
- Perform IUD insertion and removal
- Perform Nexplanon insertion and removal
- Provide emergency contraception counseling
- Manage Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) Care
- Address Menstrual & Hormonal Concerns
- Perform Endometrial biopsy
- Perform Vulvar biopsy
- Execute removal of cervical polyps
- Manage Bartholin cyst management (non-surgical)
- Perform incision & drainage of small abscesses
Additional Information- Board Certifications: Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
- EMR: Epic
- Setting: Outpatient (Clinic Only)
- Patients per day: 18-20
- LOA: 70 Days
- Staffing Mix: Daily assigned Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
