About the Position
TransForce is seeking CDL B drivers for dedicated local delivery operations in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. This role involves delivering wholesale electrical supplies and may include occasional flatbed assignments. Four positions are available.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay: $25.00 per hour
- Overtime: Time and a half after 40 hours
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Start time: 4:30 a.m.
- Hours per week: 40
- Employment type: Dedicated
- Start date: September 1, 2026
Job Details
- Route type: Local delivery
- Freight: Wholesale electrical supplies
- Handling: Light touch and touch freight
- Equipment: Tractor-trailer and pallet jack
- Flatbed operations: Drivers may occasionally operate a flatbed truck
- Flatbed experience: Not required
- Training: Training is provided on proper strapping and cargo securement procedures
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a CDL B vehicle on assigned local delivery routes
- Deliver wholesale electrical supplies to customers
- Load and unload freight using a pallet jack
- Occasionally operate a flatbed truck as needed
- Properly strap and secure cargo in accordance with training and safety procedures
- Complete required vehicle inspections and delivery paperwork
- Provide professional customer service during deliveries
Minimum Requirements
- Valid CDL B license
- 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
- Ability to safely handle touch freight and operate a pallet jack
- Willingness to learn proper flatbed cargo securement procedures
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
