Legal Secretary

Location: Riverside, CA

Schedule: Hybrid (2 days in office / 3 days remote after introductory training period)

Salary: $85,000 - $110,000

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing California law firm to recruit an experienced Legal Secretary for its Riverside office. We are seeking candidates with strong litigation support experience who thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys in litigation-related matters.

  • Draft, proofread, revise, and format pleadings, correspondence, memoranda, reports, and other legal documents.

  • Prepare and file documents in state and federal courts, including electronic filings.

  • Maintain attorney calendars, track court deadlines, hearings, depositions, and meetings.

  • Assist with preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, trials, and other proceedings.

  • Manage electronic case files and related documentation.

  • Handle time entry, billing support, and client matter openings.

  • Coordinate travel arrangements, expense reimbursements, vendor payments, and other administrative tasks.

  • Provide backup support to other legal secretaries as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7-10 years of legal secretary experience, preferably supporting partners or senior attorneys.

  • Litigation experience required.

  • Experience in public law, civil litigation, construction law, or business law is highly desirable.

  • Strong knowledge of court filing procedures and litigation support functions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Experience with document management, calendaring, and time-entry systems.
