Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Temporary Litigation Paralegal for a respected civil litigation law firm. This is a temporary, hybrid opportunity based in Seattle, Washington, with onsite flexibility based on business needs.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Our client is seeking an experienced Temporary Litigation Paralegal to provide substantive litigation support to attorneys handling complex civil litigation matters. This role will support cases from inception through trial, with responsibilities including discovery, medical record review, legal research, document drafting, and trial preparation. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced litigation environment. Experience supporting medical malpractice matters is highly preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare chronologies and organize large volumes of medical records, case files, and litigation documents while assisting with all phases of discovery

  • Draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, memoranda, authorizations, stipulations, and other litigation documents

  • Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, court personnel, experts, and other legal professionals while providing regular case status updates

  • Conduct medical, expert witness, and jury verdict research while monitoring litigation deadlines and ensuring timely case progression

  • Assist with deposition preparation, trial preparation, exhibit organization, and other substantive litigation support tasks

  • Manage multiple active matters while maintaining accurate billable time records and delivering exceptional client service

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably supporting medical malpractice, insurance defense, or complex civil litigation matters

  • Strong knowledge of Washington State court procedures, discovery, and litigation processes; trial preparation experience is preferred

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Teams, Washington State and federal e-filing systems, and document management software; experience with iManage or similar platforms is a plus

  • Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines, medical record review, and experience recording billable time is highly desirable

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a collaborative environment

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
