Job Summary
A law firm in the Sarasota, FL area is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys through all phases of litigation. This is a direct hire opportunity for a paralegal who is organized, detail oriented, and comfortable managing a busy caseload.
Key Responsibilities
- Support attorneys through all phases of litigation, from intake through trial and appeal
- Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and correspondence
- Organize and maintain case files, pleadings, and discovery materials
- Manage case calendars, court deadlines, and scheduling
- Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials, including preparing exhibits and trial binders
- Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and experts
- E-file documents with state and federal courts
- Assist with document review and production
Qualifications
- Experience working as a litigation paralegal in a law firm setting
- Knowledge of court rules, procedures, and deadlines for state and federal courts
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software
- Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Paralegal certificate or degree preferred
Compensation is $70K–$90K+ depending on experience. This is a direct hire position.
