- Bachelor’s Degree and Paralegal Certification preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Minimum of 5 or more years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal working on construction defect litigation and other commercial matters within a multi-lawyer law firm
- NALA certification preferred
- Exceptional computer skills, with the ability to learn and apply new software applications quickly
- Trial experience, including exhibit preparation, witness preparation, and management, knowledge of subpoena preparation, experience working with judicial assistants and trial presentation vendors, experience assisting attorneys in the courtroom
- Computer proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, as well as document management
- Proficiency with e-filing and litigation support applications such as e-discovery platforms (e.g., Everlaw or Relativity), FileSite/WorkSite, Adobe Acrobat, cloud-based file-sharing platforms / FTP link platforms, and similar technology
- Ability to communicate professionally and interact effectively with all levels of personnel, including management staff and support staff while anticipating the needs of attorneys, clients, and matters
- Demonstrated attention to detail, reliability, outstanding organizational skills, and ability to learn new technology
- Excellent client service skills and ability to work on multiple matters simultaneously in an organized manner and under minimal supervision
- Skilled at drafting clear and concise memoranda, detailed fact summaries, pleadings, and other documents
- Flexibility to respond quickly and positively to shifting deadlines and/or strict deadlines, with the willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed, including weekends
- Position may periodically require off-site work at a war room or the courthouse when the case goes to trial
COMPENSATION: The salary range for this role is $68,000 - $96,000. Starting salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
