Merani Kamara Law Group is a fast-paced, high-volume litigation firm. We are looking for a mid-level associate attorney to support our collections and insurance litigation practices. We handle large volumes of litigation in aggressive but cost-effective manners for our clients with extensive experience in the practice areas. Compensation depends on experience but the range is expected to be between $100k - $140k with bonus potential based on performance. We also offergreat benefits such as Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Competitive Salary, and Paid Time Off.Responsibilities: Manage cases independently through all stages of the litigation lifecycleAppear in court regularly and handle matters with meaningful autonomyDraft pleadings, motions, and proposed judgmentsMake decisions about your own motions and case handling with the support of partners, paralegals, and legal assistants.Receive and apply feedback constructively - we have high standards and we'll help you meet themMaintain clear, professional communication across the team and with clientsReview evidentiary materials and case files to identify key facts and legal issuesApply strong analytical and writing skills to produce polished, accurate work productOrganize and maintain case files for accuracy and accessibilitySupport e-filing and document management processesUtilize Excel and other tools to track deadlines, case materials, and deliverablesConduct legal research using recognized platforms and prepare case law summariesRequirements: At least 3 years of practice experience in a law firm or relevant in-house legal department (required)New York Bar admission (required).
