Job Summary
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team part-time. This is a Research Assistant role, and as an LPN with clinical experience and knowledgeable in patient care and medical procedures. You are an LPN who operates with great attention to detail and a big heart. You take pride in prioritizing patient safety and are able to observe and communicate effectively in your patient's best interest. To succeed, you will apply your skill set while expounding on research driven directives like patient recruitment, data collection, protocol adherence.

This role offers a fast track to become a Clinical Research Coordinator.

Travel
Some travel (less than 5%)

Responsibilities 
  • Coordinate with other colleagues to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans 
  • Coordinate patient visits
  • Prescreening
  • Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects or reactions  
  • Document any changes in patient conditions and report on changes 
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care and discuss observations with the supervisor  
  • Maintain and Create Source Documents
  • IRB Reporting
  • Review and Document Patient Medical History
  • Adverse Event Reporting
  • EDC entry
  • Quality Control
  • Laboratory Collection and Processing
  • Basic Pharmacy skills
Qualifications
  • Currently licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in North Carolina
  • Previous experience as an LPN is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and client care skills
  • Valid driver’s license 
  • First aid/CPR certification preferred
  • GCP Certified preferred - will provide training
  • IATA Certified preferred - will provide training
  • Phlebotomy required
