    Description

    Psycle On Wellness is seeking a Licensed Behavioral Health Professional to provide mental health services to adolescents in a juvenile detention center setting.  Immediate full-time and part-time positions available. 

    The ideal candidate is a licensed behavioral health professional in Maryland with experience in juvenile justice settings, committed to delivering trauma-informed, ethical, and high-quality care.

    Key ResponsibilitiesSupportive Counseling

    • Conduct individual counseling sessions weekly
    • Conduct weekly psychoeducational groups  
    • for youthAssessment

      • Perform suicide risk screenings within 2 hours of admission

      • Complete psychosocial intake screenings, including the MAYSI-2, within 24 hours of admission

      • Monitor the suicide log daily and provide daily visits for youth on suicide watch

      • Review housing classification within 24 hours of admission

      • Follow up on prior victimization within 14 daysAdministrative 

      • Sign and maintain all required clinical documentation

      • Complete seclusion observation forms and crisis behavioral health referral forms in the youth’s record the same day

      • Attend clinical staff meetings as scheduled

      Education, Licensure & Qualifications

      • Master’s Degree in Counseling or Social Work

      • Licensed in the state of Maryland in good standing (LCSW-C, LMSW, LGPC, or LCPC)

      • Minimum of 2 years counseling experience

      • Experience working with children and adolescents in an education or detention setting preferred

      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet-based systems

      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

      • Willing to complete a federal and state background check

      • Reliable transportation
