Lender Assistant
Location: Downtown Austin, TX (Onsite)
Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Lender Assistant to support a high-performing commercial banking team in Downtown Austin. This individual will work directly with the Market Executive, Commercial Lender, and Portfolio Manager supporting a commercial loan portfolio exceeding $200MM.
This is a fast-paced, highly visible role that requires an organized, proactive professional who enjoys being an integral part of a collaborative lending team. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in an office environment, communicates well with lenders and clients, and can anticipate needs before they're asked.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and operational support to Commercial Lenders and Market Executive.
- Coordinate commercial loan documentation and closing process.
- Assist with loan pipeline management and tracking.
- Prepare loan packages and maintain loan files.
- Communicate with borrowers, attorneys, title companies, and internal departments.
- Work closely with the Portfolio Manager and Credit Analyst to ensure smooth loan processing.
- Schedule meetings and assist with customer service requests.
- Maintain accuracy and organization in all lending documentation.
- Support multiple commercial banking relationships while managing competing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Commercial Lender Assistant or Commercial Loan Assistant.
- Commercial banking experience required.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a busy lending environment.
- High attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in-office every day.
- Experience with Encino lending platform is a significant plus.
- Experience supporting Commercial Relationship Managers or Market Executives preferred.
