Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Legal Secretary for a respected full-service law firm client. This is a fully onsite opportunity based in The Woodlands, Texas.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to support attorneys within a busy probate and estate planning practice. This role requires a highly organized professional who can effectively manage attorney schedules, court deadlines, client communications, and legal documentation while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys supporting multiple attorneys, and possesses strong knowledge of probate procedures and legal administrative operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Draft, edit, proofread, and e-file probate and estate planning documents in accordance with Texas court procedures
Manage attorney calendars, court deadlines, meetings, appointments, and other scheduling needs across multiple matters
Maintain and organize physical and electronic client files utilizing document management systems
Conduct conflict checks, open new matters, support time entry, and assist with billing-related activities
Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and third parties while providing exceptional administrative support
Perform transcription, document preparation, and other legal administrative duties while managing competing priorities
QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of legal secretary experience with recent probate and estate planning support experience
Strong knowledge of Texas probate procedures, court filings, and legal document preparation
Experience supporting multiple attorneys while managing complex schedules and deadlines
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, document management systems, billing software, and transcription tools
Excellent organizational, proofreading, communication, and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
