Legal Operations Lead III

IDR is seeking a Legal Operations Lead III to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Los Angeles, CA . In this contract engagement, you’ll help transform how a modern, fast-moving Legal team works by building scalable processes and advancing a best-in-class legal technology ecosystem. This role supports a leading organization in the consumer technology/entertainment space, partnering cross-functionally to deliver durable operational improvements.

**Position Overview for the Legal Operations Lead III **:

• Drive transformation by “running Legal as a product,” turning repeatable legal work into efficient, scalable, self-service solutions.
• Own the implementation, optimization, and integration of the legal technology stack (e.g., intake, CLM, matter management, e-billing, and legal AI tools).
• Design and improve workflows, playbooks, automation, and knowledge resources to increase speed, consistency, and quality of legal service delivery.
• Represent Legal in enterprise-wide initiatives, partnering with IT, Security, Finance, Procurement, and other business units to align on requirements and risk.
• Establish metrics, dashboards, and reporting to provide visibility into workload, cycle times, adoption, and spend, and use insights to prioritize the roadmap.

Requirements for the Legal Operations Lead III :

• 7+ years of experience in legal operations, legal technology, or a related operational role with demonstrated success leading change initiatives.
• Hands-on experience selecting and deploying legal tools end-to-end (e.g., CLM, matter management, e-billing, or comparable platforms).
• Proven ability to operate cross-functionally at enterprise scale and represent Legal’s needs in broad, high-priority technology programs.
• Strong data fluency, including building reports/dashboards, interpreting metrics, and using data to drive operational decisions.
• Familiarity with AI tools and an outcomes-oriented, self-directed approach suited to a defined timeline engagement.
