    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to become a part of our fast paced, high volume team! You will provide overall support to the attorney's needs.

    Responsibilities:

    • Handle all administrative, legal operation, and organization of assigned attorney's.
    • Manage their calendars, expense reports, time sheets, contacts, etc.
    • Draft professional correspondence, memoranda, and other legal documents to be reviewed by attorney/paralegal.
    • Preparation of court documents.
    • Court e-filing.
    • Monitor, track and action all active case filings.
    • Work closely with administrative support staff (other legal assistants, receptionist, new business intake, office Services, accounting and billing, etc.).
    • Enter attorney and paralegal time into the timekeeping system.
    • Work with Billing Department and billing attorney to review and revise billing Proformas. Assist in finalizing bills for client distribution.
    • Update and maintain contacts, prospect and project pursuit information, and documents in legal management software.
    • Performs other tasks and responsibilities as requested by attorney(s).

    Qualifications:

    • Expectation of 5 days in-office.
    • Must have previous experience as a legal assistant or paralegal (5+ years preferred).
    • High degree of professionalism and discretion in handling highly sensitive and confidential information.
    • Proficiency with Office365, Adobe, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
    • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments and numerous and conflicting deadlines – some of which may include flexibility in work hours.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong oral, written, interpersonal, problem solving and customer service skills.
    • Ability to prioritize and multitask.
    • Deadline and detail-oriented.
