Join a respected boutique Portland law firm handling serious injury, wrongful death, civil rights, and complex litigation in a collaborative environment where you'll work side-by-side with experienced attorneys and paralegals and be a valued member of a close-knit team.

SALARY: $75k+/yr. DOE

LOCATION: Portland, OR

SCHEDULE: Full-time; 35-37.5 hrs/wk. | In-office, 1 day remote after training

WHY YOU’LL LOVE THIS ROLE
  • Use your resourcefulness, passion for the law, and civil litigation experience in any area to join a collaborative, team-oriented office where you'll work directly with the attorneys and have the opportunity to grow your skills long-term.
  • Enjoy an exceptional work-life balance with flexible office hours and one remote day each week.
  • Excellent benefits package including medical coverage, paid parking, retirement benefits, and bonus opportunities.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Manage plaintiff litigation files from intake through resolution, including calendaring, deadlines, and overall case management.
  • Prepare cases for trial by organizing exhibits, discovery, deposition transcripts, trial notebooks, and ensuring timely filing and service under Oregon court rules.
  • Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery, deposition notices, correspondence, and other litigation documents under attorney supervision.
  • Obtain and organize medical records, billing, liens, treatment chronologies, and damages documentation.
  • Coordinate with clients, medical providers, courts, opposing counsel, and expert witnesses while scheduling depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial-related events.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • Prior litigation experience with a strong understanding of Oregon court procedures and trial preparation; plaintiff experience is preferred, but more important is your trial experience in any area, along with multi-tasking, problem solving, and interest in large plaintiff, civil rights cases.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional organization and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce accurate, polished work.
  • Resourceful, curious, coachable, and able to shift between competing priorities without losing focus.
  • A genuine interest in plaintiff advocacy and a desire to build a long-term career with a collaborative, close-knit firm.

The role also requires sufficient manual dexterity, visual acuity, and communication abilities to prepare legal documents, operate standard office equipment, and interact effectively with clients, attorneys, court personnel, and other stakeholders.
