Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., a multi-office national defense firm, is currently seeking a legal assistant with 4+ years of experience to join our Orlando office, supporting attorneys handling automotive liability litigation. About the Role
This position is ideal for a legal assistant with a strong background in automotive liability defense. The successful candidate will support attorneys in managing a high-volume caseload, ensuring deadlines are met and files are accurately maintained. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Support attorneys in all phases of automotive liability litigation
Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, and correspondence
Organize and maintain case files (physical and electronic), ensuring accuracy and accessibility
Manage attorney calendars, track court deadlines, and coordinate scheduling
Assist with discovery, including organizing medical records, accident reports, and insurance documents
Communicate professionally with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel
Assist with preparation for depositions, mediations, and trial, including organizing exhibits and materials
Handle Florida State and Federal E-Filing procedures
Monitor case progress and follow up on outstanding items
Assist with time entry and billing as needed
Qualifications
4+ years of legal assistant experience in civil litigation; automotive liability experience strongly preferred
Strong understanding of litigation procedures and court rules in Florida
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management systems
Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
High level of professionalism and discretion
