As a Legal Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our attorneys and paralegals with day-to-day case management, client communication, and administrative tasks. This position also offers opportunities for professional growth within the firm, including the potential to advance into a Paralegal role.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to attorneys and paralegals, including preparing correspondence, forms, and case files.
Assist in scheduling client appointments, USCIS interviews, and court hearings.
Organize and maintain physical and digital case files to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
Manage incoming calls, emails, and client inquiries, ensuring prompt and professional communication.
Track and update case deadlines and maintain the firm’s master calendar.
Assist clients in gathering and organizing required documentation for filings.
Prepare and proofread legal documents and forms for submission.
Perform basic legal research as needed.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience as a Legal Assistant, Administrative Assistant, or similar role in a law firm is preferred (immigration law experience is a plus).
Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Professional demeanor, discretion, and ability to maintain client confidentiality.
Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and or case management software (training provided).
