Description

We are seeking a highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support attorneys and paralegal team with administrative and case management tasks.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a professional, deadline-driven environment and enjoys keeping operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage attorney and staff calendars, including scheduling hearings, client meetings, mediations, consultations, and deadlines
  • Answer phones and professionally communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
  • Assist paralegals and attorneys with administrative case support
  • Prepare, scan, organize, and upload legal documents into case management software
  • File pleadings and documents with Texas e-filing systems and maintain filing records
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, document processing, and office correspondence
  • Create and maintain organized digital and physical case files
  • Assist with client intake and gathering necessary case documentation
  • Generate invoices, assist with billing, payment tracking, and client account follow-up
  • Coordinate document execution, signatures, and notarization when needed
  • Maintain office organization and assist with general administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in a law office preferred (family law or litigation experience a plus)
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working with legal software, document management systems, and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with e-filing, MyCase, billing software, or case management platforms preferred
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Reliable, proactive, and team-oriented attitude
  • Familiarity with Texas court filing procedures
  •  Scheduling experience for court hearings and legal calendars
  • Experience with client communication in high-conflict matters
  • Spanish bilingual

Compensation:
  • Range is from $15-$18/hour, depending on experience

Position could become full time with the law firm
